While on the farm this past week, a delivery vehicle pulled up the driveway and stopped. As I looked up, I saw the driver get out, holding a package over most of his face as he called me by name and asked, "Kurt, who am I?"
I was not stumped, fooled, or mystified, as I knew the driver was Terry Faucette, a schoolmate from 1980. Terry still looks the same, except for stately gray hair. He still has the same infectious smile and joyful outlook as he always did.
I imagine this might be what it is like for God when we humans tend to want to hide from God at some point in our life. But when we ask "God, who am I?", God not only knows who we are but tells us we are His own. We cannot hide from God, nor can we hide who we are from Him.
This week, be thankful that God knows us and knew us before we were born. Be thankful He provided a way for us to be with Him for eternity through the Grace of Jesus. Share your thanks with those around you so they, too, can know the Way to God.
God Bless, Kurt
